Photography requests: an in-house system
Replacing a third-party subscription with a request system built on the Gallery's own Microsoft platform.
Problem
Staff requested photography through a Monday.com subscription while the Gallery's IT was standardising on SharePoint, adding licensing cost and another system to maintain.
What I did
I designed and built a replacement on SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, mirroring how staff already worked so the switch was easy. It handles everything from artwork photography to condition reporting, builds in colour correction where it's needed, and tracks each request from Submitted to Completed.
Result
Launched to all staff in October 2026, with existing requests carried across so nobody had to resubmit. Next step: linking it to EMu and FotoWare so object details aren't entered twice.
